Spin ice is a family of magnetic systems whose local balance can produce surprisingly rich collective behavior. This game borrows the square-lattice “two in, two out” rule. A flip can move a defect to a neighbor; a closed loop can change while preserving balance.
Frostline is an original abstract puzzle, not a physical simulator. Boundary arrows and studded interior arrows are fixed; every garden has a solution. Any arrangement with two arrows entering every lantern wins.
Inspired by HKUST’s October 21, 2026 spin-ice research report. Scientific GitHub reference: mumax/Hotspice (GPL-3.0). No Hotspice code or assets are used.
